Alejandro Bruña Sánchez

Alejandro Bruña Sánchez is the Deputy Director and Co-Founder of Welcome to the Netherlands. Within the organisation, he is primarily responsible for client guidance and strategic decision-making, ensuring that services are delivered clearly, fairly and in the best interest of each client.

Originally from Spain, Alejandro has first-hand experience with the challenges that immigrants face when settling in the Netherlands. He understands how language barriers, complex procedures and lack of transparent information can cause stress, uncertainty and unnecessary costs. This insight allows him to connect easily with clients and guide them in a calm, practical and structured manner.

Alejandro works closely with Spanish-speaking clients, including labour migrants, families and individuals, providing personal guidance and clear explanations throughout every step of the process. He also communicates confidently in English and speaks basic Dutch, enabling him to support clients while navigating Dutch institutions and procedures.

A key motivation behind Alejandro’s work is preventing misuse, overcharging and confusion that many immigrants unfortunately experience. He is strongly driven by the belief that no one should feel lost, pressured or financially disadvantaged simply because the system is unclear or poorly explained.

His approach combines professionalism, empathy and solution-oriented thinking. Alejandro aims to ensure that every client finishes their process with a sense of calm, certainty and trust, knowing that their situation has been handled correctly and transparently.

Through Welcome to the Netherlands, Alejandro is committed to protecting clients from unnecessary stress and costs, while helping them build a stable, secure and confident future in the Netherlands.
